Patrick F. Smith
President and General Counsel of Titlesouth and Director of TitleSouth Real Estate Closing Centers

Prior to joining TitleSouth in 2005, Mr. Smith engaged in the private law practice in Birmingham, Alabama. His practice consisted primarily of residential and commercial real estate closings, title insurance defense litigation, real estate litigation and corporate and commercial law.

Mr. Smith earned a Bachelors Degree in Accounting from Auburn University and the Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from The University of Alabama School of Law. He also holds the post-doctoral Master of Laws (LL.M) in Taxation degree from the University of Alabama School of Law. Before attending law school, Mr. Smith was a Certified Public Accountant with Coopers & Lybrand (now PriceWaterhouseCoopers) in Birmingham, Alabama.

Mr. Smith is a frequent speaker at continuing legal education seminars on the topics of real estate law, title insurance, real estate closings and law office technology.  A native of Lauderdale County, Alabama, he and his family are residents of Homewood, Alabama.

 

Richard A. Bailey, Jr.
Vice President of Title Operations and Senior Title Officer

Richard joined TitleSouth when the company was formed as Vulcan Title in 1998. Prior to joining TitleSouth, Richard worked as a title researcher and underwriter for various title agencies in Mobile County and the Florida Panhandle. Richard is a member of the Dixie Land Title Association, and is active in the association's activities and courses. Richard lives in Kimberly with his wife Cindy.

John H. Henson
Associate Counsel for TitleSouth's Real Estate Closing Centers and Closing Attorney, TitleSouth Closing Center - Hwy 280/Mountaion Brook.

Mr. Henson holds the Juris Doctorate from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama where he served as a member of the Henry Upson Sims Moot Court Board. Mr. Henson also holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Martin Methodist College, located in his hometown of Pulaski, Tennessee. His wife, Amy is an Office Administrator with RealtySouth. The Henson's live in Inverness.

 

Sandy F. Johnson
Associate Counsel for TitleSouth's Real Estate Closing Centers and Closing Attorney, TitleSouth Closing Center - Shelby

Sandy attended the University of Montevallo and Birmingham School of Law. She began her legal career in Montevallo, Alabama in 2006, where she practiced law as a solo practitioner. Mrs. Johnson's private practice focused on real estate closing services. Mrs. Johnson joined TitleSouth as Associate Counsel in November 2007. Graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of Montevallo in 2002, Mrs. Johnson elected to attend Birmingham School of Law, where she received her Juris Doctorate. Mrs. Johnson is dedicated to her community, and serves as Treasurer of her local volunteer fire department. Mrs. Johnson's husband, Keith, is a career firefighter. The Johnsons live in Montevallo, Alabama with their daughter, Emily.

 

Lea Ann Goodwin
Account Executive

Lea Ann is a Birmingham native and began her career with the RealtySouth Family as a sales associate in 2000 and worked as an agent until 2006. She joined TitleSouth in 2006 as a Customer Service Representative. In 2007, Lea Ann moved to the TitleSouth Closing Center as a Closing Coordinator and worked in that position until 2009 when she became a TitleSouth Sales Representative.

Lea Ann’s combined experience in real estate sales, title insurance and real estate closings gives her a unique perspective on the transactional experience. With over 10 years experience in the Real Estate industry Lea Ann brings dedication and commitment to each customer and works to Earn Trust by continually exceeding expectations.
In addition to her duties at TitleSouth and TitleSouth Closing Center, Lea Ann also helps plan and coordinate TitleSouth and RealtySouth corporate functions.

Lea Ann lives in Hoover and has 2 grown children and 2 daughters that are active at Berry Middle School.

Gayle Mason
Account Executive

Gayle, a native of Birmingham, joined TitleSouth in March 1999. Gayle attended Jefferson State Junior College and has worked in the fields of marketing and management for over 20 years. Gayle is active in the real estate community. She is a member of the Birmingham Board of Realtors, Greater Birmingham Home Builders Association, Women's Council of Realtors and Business Networking International. With over ten years of experience in the title insurance industry, seven of those with TitleSouth, Gayle credits her successes in the business to hard work, dedication and always providing the most exceptional service she and her co-workers can provide.

Gayle lives in Hoover with her husband, Bob, and their dog, Angel. Gayle and Bob have two daughters, married with families. Gayle's is a grandmother of two and in her spare time, enjoys painting and monogramming.
